About Course

This class is designed to introduce Basic 1 pupils to the essential concepts of mathematics for their first term. Pupils will learn the fundamentals of whole numbers, basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), and the principles of shapes and measurement. The class also covers the basics of time, money, and number patterns. Through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and engaging exercises, pupils will develop problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of how mathematics is applied in everyday life. The class aims to build confidence in young learners and provide them with the foundational skills needed for future mathematical success.

WHOLE NUMBERS
In this topic, Basic 1 pupils will learn about whole numbers, focusing on understanding numbers from 0 upwards. Pupils will explore the concept of counting, recognizing and writing whole numbers, and comparing them using terms like greater than, less than, and equal to. They will practice counting in sequences, identifying number patterns, and understanding the value of each digit in a number. Through interactive exercises, pupils will develop a strong foundation in working with whole numbers, preparing them for more advanced mathematical concepts.
