About Course

The SSS 1 Mathematics (First Term) class is designed to introduce students to the essential concepts of senior secondary school mathematics. The focus will be on algebra, coordinate geometry, basic trigonometry, and statistics. This course introduces Senior Secondary School 1 (SS1) students to the concept of fractions and their applications in mathematics and everyday life. The course covers proper fractions, improper fractions, mixed numbers, equivalent fractions, and practical problem-solving involving fractions. Learners will also develop skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions, as well as converting fractions to decimals and percentages. Through examples, exercises, and real-life applications, students will build a strong foundation needed for higher-level mathematics.
