SSS 1 Mathematics (First Term)

About Course

The SSS 1 Mathematics (First Term) class is designed to introduce students to the essential concepts of senior secondary school mathematics. The focus will be on algebra, coordinate geometry, basic trigonometry, and statistics. Students will develop their problem-solving skills, learn to reason logically, and apply their knowledge to real-world problems. By the end of the term, students will be well-prepared for more complex topics and further mathematical studies.

What Will You Learn?

  • Algebra: Simplify algebraic expressions and solve linear and quadratic equations.
  • Coordinate Geometry: Understand the coordinate plane, plot points, and use the distance formula to find the distance between points.
  • Basic Trigonometry: Learn basic trigonometric ratios (sine, cosine, and tangent) and apply them to solve problems involving right-angled triangles.
  • Statistics: Collect and organize data, calculate the mean, median, mode, and represent data using different types of graphs.
  • Sets and Functions: Study the basic concepts of set theory and functions, including the representation and evaluation of functions.
