Basic 3 Mathematics (First Term)

About Course

This class is designed for Basic 3 pupils to strengthen their understanding of essential mathematical concepts in the first term. Pupils will explore more advanced addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as the introduction to larger numbers and the concept of place value up to the thousands. The class will also cover number patterns, simple fractions, geometry (including 2D and 3D shapes), and basic measurement skills. Through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and practical exercises, pupils will develop problem-solving skills and learn how mathematics applies to everyday situations. This class aims to build a strong mathematical foundation that prepares pupils for more complex topics in future terms.

Course Content

Number Pattern
pupils will learn to recognize, identify, and continue number sequences. They will explore patterns involving simple counting, such as counting by twos, fives, tens, and other numbers, as well as odd and even numbers. Pupils will also learn how to predict and complete number patterns, and understand the rules behind sequences. Through interactive exercises and examples, pupils will develop the ability to spot and extend patterns, which will enhance their mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. This topic provides a solid foundation for understanding the structure of numbers and prepares pupils for more complex mathematical concept
